Day THREE...
Sunday, October 16th, 2011


The morning started off very rain filled, but after breakfast cleared out. To kill time from the rain we circled out I-280 to U.S. 67 back into downtown Davenport.

Back to State #2...Iowa!!

Once in in Davenport we headed off to the Skybridge. This gives a great view of the Mississippi River as it bends around Davenport.

Back to State #1...Illinois!!

After the Skybridge it was off to Lock and Dam 15 on Arsenal Island. Here we got to watch of of the few bridges that still open by spinning.

After the barge passing down the Mississippi River, we headed off to the John Deere Pavilion in Moline. Here we were taken through a time travel on the history of John Deere.

One more destination for the trip. The Mississippi River Distilling Company of La Claire, Iowa for a tour.

Back to State #2...Iowa!!


At Mississippi River Distilling we were taken on a tour and givin information how different bourbons, gins, and vodkas are made. Plus, on how most, if not all materials for making the liquor comes from within 25 miles of Le Claire, Iowa.
