Day FOUR...
Monday, July 28th, 2025

For the head home day, we needed to get as much time in the U.P. as possible. Breakfast was first, we headed downtown in Sault Ste Marie to Lockview for a great meal to start the day. Then it was time to head south to the upper lower of Michigan and go towards Charleviox. Along this was it was a hunt for Ernest Hemmingway. There were a few statue of the writer to mark his time he spent in Michigan. The first was in Petoskey.

Along the way we found some sculpted art in a part in East Jordan. Then came across another Ernest Hemmingway statue in Walloon Lake. As we headed back north to head our prefered way home we found Yogi outside Petoskey!.

The prefered way home is to go along U.S. 2 on the northern side of Lake Michigan. To get there we headed back across the Mackinaw Bridge, then took what can be argued as one of the most scenic drive in the country. As we headed along the northern and western sides of Lake Michigan we eventually made it back to Wisconsin.

By now the sun has set as we head south through Green Bay and Milwaukee. Eventually leading us back to the Chicago Area.
