Day THREE...
Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025

Today was the day to head home. We started with breakfast at the Lock Side Dinner in Sault Ste Marie, then watched a few ships pass through the Soo Locks. By mid-morning we were heading south and made a stop at Bridge View Park in St. Ignace. Here we saw the Manitoulin passing from Lake Huron to Lake Michigan under the Mackinac Bridge.

After that way made way west down U.S. 2, following Lake Michigan, and enjoying the views. Normally on a venture south from the U.P. we head south at Escanaba; on this trip we kept going west along U.S. 2 until we got to Iron Mountain.
