St. Louis Southwestern Railway

The St. Louis Southwestern Railway was created in 1891. It was more commonly known as the "Cotton Belt". In 1903 it gained track rights over some Missouri Pacific lines and reached East St. Louis, Illinois. In 1932 the Southern Pacific gained control of the company, but ran it as a seperate company until 1992. Now it is part of the Union Pacific railroad.
