railroad > Union Pacific
Union Pacific Railroad was incorporated on July 1, 1862. The first rails were laid in Omaha, Nebraska and headed west. Over the years the Union Pacific has acquired varios railroads giving it the trackage it has now. This makes it one of the largest railroads in the United States. It runs from a line from Chicago south to New Orleans west to the Pacific Ocean.
