The Village of Atlanta is located in Northeastern Logan County. It is on Interstate 55, Historical U.S. 66, Logan County Highway 6, and the Union Pacific Railroad. Atlanta is home to one of the nations famous "muffler men". It is in the square downtown. Hie is holding a hot dog. This muffler man was located originally at a hot dog tand in Berywen. Atlanta is also home to the grain elevator museum. Atlanta was originally know as the Town od Xeina, prior to 1855. On February 14, 1855 the name was changed to Atlanta.
