The City of Litchfield is located along mile post 52 of Interstate 55. This is a major rest stop. Most any type of fuel and food can be found at this exit. It is about half way between St. Louis, Missouri, and Springfield, Illinois. Litchfield is one of main towns that uses Historical Route 66, for tourisim. It has two former alignments of the high passing through the town. Litchfield is home to the Sky View Drive in on old Route 66.
