The Village of Westville is located south of Danville along U.S. 150, and Illinois 1. Westville was plotted in 1873 by the West family. It was a depot along the Danville and Southwestern railroad. In 1874 the first post office started. Westville High School played the first night high school football game in the United States in 1928.
