The Town of Beverly Shores is a planned resort community in Porter County. It dates back to 1925, when the Chicago, South Shore, & South Bend railroad started promoting the area for tourists. In 1927, a Chicago real estate developer started plotting out thousands of home sites. The town incorporated in 1947.
