Info on Munster:

The Village of Munster sits in Northwestern Lake County along the Illinois/Indiana State Line. Munster got it's name from Jacob Munster, who set up a general store with a postal station on the back. The postal station was named Munster, thus the naming of the town. Munster was incorporated in 1907.
