The Delaware Turnpike runs east-west across Northern Delaware. It runs from the Maryland/Delaware State Line, near Newark, to the Delaware/New Jersey State Line, ner Wilmington. In 1963, it was dedicated by President John F. Kennedy, just one week before his death. There is one toll plaza on the highway. It is located near Newark.
