It runs from the Franklin/Berkshire County Line, near Zoar, to the Franklin/Worcester County Line, near North New Salem. From Interstate 91, west of Greenfield, to east of U.S. Rt. 5/MA St Rt 10, this is an expressway. Then from near Wendall Depot to the Worcester County Line it is an expressway again.
