Lincoln Tunnel

The Lincoln Tunnel one of two auto tunnels under the Hudson River between New Jersey and New York. Construction begain in 1934. This was originally suppose to be part of Interstate 495, be the expressway to link the Lincoln Tunnel with the Queens-Midtown Tunnel was canceled. Today it carries the New Jersey State Route 495 and New York State Route 495 designation.
