U.S. Federal Route 2 runs east-west in Northeastern Florence County. This is the eastern section of U.S. Rt. 2 runs between the Michigan State Line at both ends of it's run in Florence County. On the east end it crosses the Menominee River from Michigan, near Iron Mountain, Michigan. At the west end, it crosses the Menominee River, back into Michgian, near Tyran, Wisconsin.
