Day FOUR...
Tuesday, August 7th, 2012

Day four was sights of Boston. It was full of walking, walking, and walking. Plus, it was down hill...then back up. Google Maps, says it was about two and a half miles, in the 90 degree heat. We choose to follow the Freedom Trail through Downtown Boston, and see many sights from the birth of the United States of America.

After the 2.5 miles of walking up and down hill, we headed up the Atlantic Coast. Goal find a place to enjoy the ocean.

Along the New Hampshire coast, was many vacation condos, public beaches, and boardwalks, but few quiet places to enjoy the ocean.

With not finding a quite place to enjoy the Atlantic Ocean. We stopped at the Maine Welcome Center at Kitery, ME. Here I found a lighthouse near Kennebunkport. We ventured up to Cape Porpoise, and spent time enjoying the view, peace, and area. This has moved Maine to my second favorite state, right behind Missouri.

Looking out over the harbor at Cape Porpoise.

The light house at Cape Porpoise.

After time spend along the cape, we went up to South Portland, before heading back to Haverhill, MA for the night.
