Day TWO...

This day started out with a nice walk along the beach at Manistique, then a big breakfast at Big Boy. Then it was time to head up towards Lake Superior at Munising and heading into the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.

At Munising we took a brief drive west to Christmas, and stopped along a scenic overlook along M-28. After a tour through Munising, we headed out on Alger H-58 to head towards Grand Marais. Going through the national lakeshore park we stopped at the Log Slide, and one of the many waterfalls and walked to the beach before getting to Grand Marais.

After we visited Grand Marais, we headed toward our homebase for the next two nights, Sault Ste Marie. In Sault Ste. Marie the Walmart it has a unique parking situation. They have horse parking. Which is unique, and interesting.

Once settled in we headed south to Mackinaw City for the evening. This gave us another change to eat dinner along the water. Plus an amazing view of the sunset over Lake Michigan. Then fireworks at St. Ignace.
