Day TWO...
Monday, September 1st, 2025
This was an early start to the day. It was time to participate in the annual Labor Day Bridge Walk at the Mackinac Bridge. So it was up by 4 a.m. and we headed to Mackinaw City from Sault Ste. Marie.
Once the bridge walk was done, we had time to kill. Since the bridge doesnt reopen until after noon, we headed around the eastern side or the Huron side of the Upper-Lower. This took us down past Onaway, Atlanta, and looping back up to Roger City and Cheboygan. Along the way we found Iron Man...or atleast part of him...then the Elk Capital of the World...or Michigan.

A roadside stop in the Atlanta.
Now with the bridge back open it was lunch time in St. Igance for some pasties at a roadside park overlooking Lake Michgian and the Mackinac Bridge. Then is was back to Sault Ste Marie. After a brief stop over, it was time to head for Whitefish Point. Then after enjoying the views, and peacefulness of Lake Superior, we headed back to Mackinaw City for sunset.
