Northeast of Downtown Galesburg two main lines of the BNSF Railway cross. This is located on the the east side of Peck Park. The former Chicago, Burlington, & Quincy Railroad (later Burlington Northern) crossed on a bridge over the former Atchison, Topeka, & Santa Fe Railroad. Just north of this crossing the former CB&Q/BN railroad has a branch line to run north to the Quad Cities. A few blocks south of this crossing and Downtown Galesburg is the branch line (Peoria Subdivision) of the CB&Q/BN.
