Aurora, IL

The junction between the BNSF and the Canadian National railroads is located on the eastside of Aurora, IL. The Canadian National line is the former Elgin, Joliet, & Eastern Railroad. While the BNSF line is the former Chicago, Burlington, & Quincy, later Burlington Northern railroad. The BNSF is used by Metra and Amtrak trains. BNSF does route trains to and from the Aurora Yard, which is just west of this crossing, south along the Canadian National line to by-pass Chicago.
