Griffith, IN

Griffith is completely under the control of the Canadian National railroad. This happened through abandonment of rail lines and acquisitions. At one point this junction saw the crossing of the Michigan Central, Erie Lackawanna, Chesapeake & Ohio, Elgin, Joliet, & Eastern, and the Grand Trunk Western. Currently the former Grand Trunk Western, the former Elgin, Joliet, & Eastern Lines, and part of the former Chesapeake & Ohio line still exist. These are all under the control of the Canadian National.
