On the southside of the small town of Shattuc in Clinton County, is the crossing of the CSX and BNSF railroads. The east-west CSX rail line runs from St. Louis, MO to Vincennes, IN. Running north-south is the BNSF rail line goes from Jacksonville, IL to near Herrin, IL.
