Norfolk Southern-Indiana Harbor Belt

The Hohman Avenue Junction is in Downtown Hammond. This is a crossing between the Indiana Harbor Belt and the Norfolk Southern Railroads; while Hohman Avenue runs on an overpass across the top of the junction. The Indiana Harbor Belt runs east-west through the junction on former New York Central tracks. Going north-south through the junction is the Norfolk Southern on former Nickle Plate tracks. At one time this junction also served the Erie Lackawanna.
