In Downtown Joliet, southeast of the Will County Courthouse is the junction between the BNSF Railway, Union Pacific Railroad, Metra, and the CSX. Running north-south through the junction is the BNSF and Union Pacific. West from the junction is the CSX Railroad. East from the junction is the Metra. This junction is also the site of Joliet Union Station. It is an Amtrak stop for Lincoln Service trains & Texas Eagle trains. This also see Heritage Corridor and Rock Island Metra trains stop. Along the CSX and Metra tracks the Iowa Interstate railroad has track rights.
