Electric District /Blue Island Branch
This communter rail line is owned and operated by Metra. Previously this was owned and operated by the Illinois Central Railroad. It is the only line on the Metra system that is electric powered. This line branches off of the main line south of 115th Street/Kennsington, and runs to Blue Island.
