Metra
Southwest Service
This communter rail line runs along tracks owned by BNSF Railway. It runs from Chicago-Union Station west to Aurora. This line dates back to predecessor railroads of the Burlington Northern, Chicago, Burlington, & Quincy Railroad, and the Chicago & Aurora Railroad. While Metra owns the equipment used, staffing, rails, and dispatching are done by the BNSF Railway.
