East of the New Lenox station on the former Rock Island Railroad, now the Rock Island line of Metra, is the crossing of the former Rock Island Railroad and Wabash Railroad. Today these lines are both operated by Metra. The junction is located north of U.S. 30. The Rock Island line is at ground level and runs east-west. While the former Wabash, now Southwest Service line, runs north-south.
