CSX-Norfolk Southern
Frankfort, IN

Northwest of Downtown Frankfort is the junction between the CSX and the Northfolk Southern. Running north-south through the junction is the CSX-Frankfort Secondary. This is along the former Pennsylvania Railroad. Going east-west through the junction is the Norfolk Southern-Frankford District. This is along a former Nickle Plate line. A unique feature of this junction is the "signal tree". All four movement direction signals are on one post at the junction vs. being at four different points before the junction.
