Delaware State Route 1 runs north-south in Central New Castle County. It runs from Interstate 95/Delaware Turnpike/Delaware State Route 7-58, near Christiana, to the Kent/New Castle County Line, near Smyrna. This was built as an extention of the Delaware Turnpike, to Dover. It is known as the Korean War Veterans Memorial Highway. Tolls on the highway are located south of exit 148.
