Through the City of St. James, U.S. Rt. 66 followed James Blvd. The portion to the east of Missouri 8/68 is Missouri Seocndary KK. The byway signed route sends travelers north of Missouri 6/68 from Missouri KK to Interstate 44 to proceed west towards Rolla.

Rolla

EB U.S. 66 in Rolla

Through the City of Rolla there are several alignments of U.S. 66. The main routing for tourisim follows the now signed BUSN Loop I-44 between the U.S. 63 exit and Missouri 72 exit on Interstate 44. Rolla is home to Missouri University of Science and Technology version of Stonehenge. Other points of interest include the old Phelps County Courthouse, and the Phelps County Bank that is in the historic Edwin Long Hotel.
