| Interstate 495 |
Interstate 495 is an east-west expressway across Long Island in New York State. It goes from Riverhead, west to the Queens-Midtown Tunnel, in Manhattan. Orginal plans called for I-495 to run across Mid-Town Manhattan to the Lincoln Tunnel and enter New Jersey. Signs for the Lincoln Tunnel still sign it as a part of I-495, while it is not. On Long Island, I-495 is known as the Long Island Expressway, Queens-Midtown Expressway, and the Horace Harding Expressway.
While in New York, I-495 is not multi-plexed.
