In May, 2012 IL St Rt 29 was re-routed in the Greater-Peoria Area. Prior to May, 2012, IL St Rt 29 crossed the Illinois River on the Cedar Street Bridge then up along the west side of the Illinois River. Once re-routed it followed U.S. 24; IL 8/116 north to Interstate 74. Once on Interstate 74, it crossed the Illinois River to the origial alignment. A BGS on IL 8/29/116.
