Merrillville to Valparasio
This section of the Lincoln Highway generally runs north or and parallel to U.S. 30. One this page we cover from where the Lincoln Highway crosses Interstate 65 to the split from the 1913-1915 alignment and the 1928-1930 alignment.
Green Achres-Hobart
Just after the Lincoln Highway heads east from Mississippi Street, on the southside of the highway is a memorial for armed forces. Further down the road is an old Lincoln Highway marker.

Ainsworth-Hobart
As the Lincoln Highway passes through the Ainsworth area, it passes Deep River County Park. This is a nature park with walking trails, waterways, and an old grist mill. Just past Deep River County Park, the Lincoln Highway joins U.S. 30 as it heads towards Valparaiso.

Valparaiso
West of Valparaiso, the Lincoln Highway leaves U.S. 30 at Coolspring Drive. Here the Lincoln Highway goes into Valparaiso. East of Downtown Valparaiso at the corner of Garfield and Lincolnway, this is where the 1913 section splits from the 1928 section. It also is the conclusion of this section.
