Valparaiso to Plymouth
1928 Bypass
This section of the Lincoln Highway generally runs north of and parallel to U.S. 30. On this page we cover from where the Lincoln Highway splits from the alignment that runs west to the Illinois/Indiana State Line and the Original 1913 route. This split occurs in Valparaiso at intersection of Lincolnway, Laporte, and Sturdy. Here the 1928 route heas south on Sturdy to U.S. 30. There is a path through the City of Valparaiso that turns off Lincolnway at Garfield and windes through various cemeteries. This with reconnect with the four-lane U.S. 30 on the eastside of IN 49.
Wanatah
Before you reach Wanatah, there is a small stretch of the old road. If you are not lookign for it you will miss it. The turn off of U.S. 30 is at County Road. This is at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Once you have turned on County Road, you will turn left on W 1220S Road.
Hanna
The Hannah section turns off of U.S. 30 at 700W Road. It then heads south along 700W to Volk Road.

Hamlet
A few miles after you enter Starke County, the Lincoln Highway separates again from U.S. 30 to go into Hamlet. This happens at simply enough at a road names "Lincholn Highway". This will parellel the Chicago, Fort Wayne, & Eastern Railroad. On the eastside of Hamlet, the highway rejoins U.S. 30.

The Lincoln Highway stays with U.S. 30 through Grovertown; which is located just to the north of the highway.
Donaldson
Again, the Lincoln Highway leaves U.S. 30 at "Lincoln Highway" to enter Donaldson. This also takes you into Plymouth; while the alignment for U.S. 30 goes to the northside of Donaldson and Plymouth.
