South of Mount Olive, U.S. 66 curves across Interstate 55 toward Staunton and Illinois 4. The 1940-1977 alignment keep straight to Staunton Road. Here it crosses Interstate 55 to the west Frontage Road. U.S. 66 follows the west Frontage Road into Livingston. Once in Livingston, it turns south on Park Street. Park becomes Henry, which then becomes the northwest Frontage Road along Interstate 55. U.S. 55 follows the Frontage Road to Illinois 4, where it rejoins the other alingments of U.S. 66.
