Aurora to De Kalb
From Interstate 88, at North Aurora to the intersection of Illinois 23/38 & the Union Pacific railrod. The Lincoln Highway weaves along Illinois 31 & 38, along with local county highways. This follows the Fox River north then along the Union Pacific railroad (former Chicago Northwestern).
North Aurora
The Lincoln Highway runs north-south along Illinois 31 on the westside of the Fox River.
Batavia
Just as in North Aurora, in Batavia, the Lincoln Highway follows Illinois 31 on the westside of the Fox River.
Geneva-St. Charles
At Geneva, the Lincoln Highway turns on to Illinois 38, and then on to Kaneville Road.

Elburn
The Lincoln Highway runs south of Elburn along Kane County 41. West of Kaneland High School the highway turns onto Schrader Road.

Just like Maple Park, the Lincoln Highway follows along the southern part of Cortland.

De Kalb
The Lincoln Highway is the main east-west highway across the City of De Kalb. De Kalb is home to Northern Illinois University. This is also a home to a unique crossing. In the middle of intersection of Illinois 23 and Illinois 38 (the Lincoln Highway) is a railroad crossing. Here the east-west race track of the Union Pacific railroad (former Chicago, Northwestern Railroad).
