In this part of rural North-Central Illinois, Lincoln Highway runs mostly along Illinois 38. From Ashton to east of Franklin Park, the Lincoln Highway runs along Track Road. This is just south of the Union Pacific Railroad. At Ashton, Illinois 38 between Ashton and Franlin Park is labeled as "ALT" Lincoln Highway.

Franklin Grove
In Franklin Grove, the Lincoln Highway turns on Elm Street and enters the town. It heads south to Lanham Street. The Lincoln Highway follows Lanham Street out of Franklin Grove and turns on Gap Road, where it rejoins Illinois 38 to Dixon.
