Dixon to Sterling
Between Dixon and Sterling, the Lincoln Highway follows along the northside of the Rock River.
Dixon
At Dixon, the Lincoln Highway enters Dixon on Illinois 38, then joins U.S. 52 and Illinois 26. Just southwest of the intersection of U.S. 52 and IL 26 is the birthhome of former President Ronald Reagan. The Lincoln Highway passes in front of the Lee County Courthouse and old Dixon Post Office. At the intersection with east Illinois 2 there is part of the Former Berlin Wall.

Palmyra
Palmyra is an unincorporated community along the highway. Between Palmyra and Sterling, there is still a drive in theater.
