Between Sterling and Morrison, the Lincoln Highway follows Emmerson Road and U.S. 30. This by-pass Galt, and is north of the Rock River.

In Sterling, the Lincoln Highway enters along Illinois 2. Illinois 2 ends at Illinois 40, the Lincoln Highway conntines west to Emmerson Road.

A short drive south of the Lincoln Highway between Sterling and Morrison is the Village of Lyndon. This village is south of Interstate 88/Illinois 110, just west of Illinois 78, and along the Rock River. In the village is a small little community park with a scenic access to the Rock River.
